Job Title:                           Contract Specialist  (PSI-0103)

 

Location:                           Herndon, VA

 

Salary:                              $30- $35 per hour

 

Employment:                     3 Month Contract assignment (possible extension)

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

•       Negotiate and execute facilities, engineering and construction contracts or statements of work with Suppliers

•       Develop less complex Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals, and communicate to vendors

•       Develop vendor selection criteria

•       Evaluate vendor responses and make finalists recommendations

 

 

Qualifications:

 

•       At least 4 years relevant experience in Purchase Contract Negotiation and Management

•       College Degree Required

•       Experience with facilities, engineering and/or construction commodities highly desired

•       Sourcing planning/strategy, issue RFPs, and develop or approve vendor performance standards desired

•       CPM or CPSM Desired

•       Strong contract negotiation skills and experience working with Legal and business owners to structure optimal contracts.

•       Demonstrated success in establishing, managing and leading contract negotiations and RFP teams which result in successful project delivery with qualitative and quantitative results. Ability to manage multiple contracting and RFP projects and effectively deal with a fast-paced and changing environment.

•       Experience performing detailed analyses of complex data or situations. Performing supplier financial analyses. Experience in reporting, and the use of spreadsheets and Powerpoint

•       Experience in driving customer satisfaction through proven, measurable contracting results while balancing controls and risk mitigation.

•       Experience in using eSourcing tools and technologies (esp. SAP eSourcing/Frictionless) preferred, including eRFx, reverse auctions, project management tools, contract management tools. Also experience required in procurement ERP modules. Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes.
