Job Title: Senior Contracts Administrator - IT (PSI-0701)
Location: Arlington, VA (Ballston Metro Station)
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000
Employment: Direct hire
Summary:
The Senior Contracts Administrator’s overall responsibility is to manage the supplier selection process, negotiate favorable concessions (both price and terms) with suppliers, draft contract language, managed supplier relationships and resolve supplier disputes. The Senior Contracts Administrator will also manage and operate automated purchasing systems, drive value for association members, and provide exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Source the commercial, indirect IT category
· Lead supplier selection and competitive bidding, including drafting and soliciting requests for information/proposals
· Act as the lead negotiator with suppliers on procurement projects, and be responsible for obtaining service level requirements, pricing terms and all other relevant contract terms and conditions
· Achieve costs savings targets and other VMO metrics
· Draft contracts, including statements of work, and detailed contract language
· Manage contracts, and supplier relationships, including supplier disputes
· Operate automated purchasing systems
· Maintain status reports to ensure frequent and timely updates to work unit management and customers
· Represent the association VMO in the procurement industry through local ISM chapter, participation, speaking at industry events, and authoring procurement-related articles in trade journals and websites
Qualifications:
· 5 or more years for indirect commercial procurement spend experience with approximately $20M in annualized spend.
· Bachelor’s Degree required
· Procurement certification (C.P.M./CPSM. CCCM, or CTPE designation) at employment or within 1 year of employment
· Proven and documented track record of achieving significant cost savings and other concessions
· Expert contract/terms and conditions drafting skills
· Knowledge of commercial contract law and familiarity with UCC
· Proficient with MS Office products and MS Word redlining features
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Strong written, oral and group presentation skills
· Prior history negotiating IT hardware, software and services
